Fisherman

The Fishermen of Luke Chapter 5

The bible story in Luke chapter 5 can be of great importance... A few fishermen set down their nets in the sea several times and didn't catch anything. They were about to give up. But then Jesus spoke saying, "let down your nets again." These men were tired and ready to quit. They said to the Master, "we have been fishing all night and have caught nothing, but by your word we will obey." They let down their nets one last time and to their amazment there were more fish than they could handle in just two small boats. Even the boats were beginning to sink because of all the weight. When Peter saw this, one of the fishermen, he fell to the Lords feet and pleaded. The Lord said unto them all, "Fear not. Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." These men were going to be used by God's awesome power.
Those fishermen trusted the Lord and obeyed Him because they knew it was for a reason, so they casted their nets one last time. And then the Lord showed them his power...

Sometimes we want to give up. We don't want to go on any longer. We are sad and depressed, and have allowed the enemy into our vessel. But there is that still small voice telling us to keep going. We must obey that voice. We must be strong to draw from the well of power, joy, and prosperity. We have to cast our nets one last time. And no matter what the situation may be, we should obey the Lord and have the attitude of a lion and say, "I'm going to walk right through this situation because if God lets it happen then it must be for a REASON!!."
